Soaking auxiliary agents
1: Accelerated softening: Both surfactants and enzyme preparations can help water penetrate the inner layer of the leather quickly and evenly, significantly reducing the soaking time.
2: Cleaning the skin: Surfactants can emulsify and remove the grease and dirt on the leather; enzyme preparations can break down the inter-fibrillar substances within the leather, making it cleaner.
3: Protecting the leather: By buffering salt to stabilize the pH value, it prevents damage to the leather due to drastic changes in acidity and alkalinity. Some additives can also chelate metal ions in water to avoid the formation of calcium spots and rust spots on the leather surface.
Suitable for various leather processing procedures such as soaking, staining, despigmenting, softening of blue-colored leather, and softening of dry leather. In conventional processes, the recommended dosage is 0.5% to 1.5%.
