Precipitated Barium Sulfate, commonly known as BlancFix, has a molecular formula of BaSO4, CAS: 7272-43-7, and a molecular weight of 233.39. It is a high-purity barium sulfate prepared by chemical decomposition synthesis process, which is different from natural barite powder directly ground from ore.
Appearance: White fine amorphous powder; It is an inert inorganic filler and not a hazardous material.
Mainstream process: produced by reacting barium sulfide solution with sodium sulfate, which can accurately control particle size, purity, and surface characteristics. It is divided into ordinary grade, ultrafine grade, nano grade, and activated modified series.
Different from natural barite core: precipitated barium has higher purity, finer particle size and narrower distribution, higher whiteness, fewer impurities, and excellent dispersibility, and is mostly used in mid to high end products; Barite powder has low cost and is suitable for low-end filling. Barium sulfate precipitation has excellent corrosion resistance and aging resistance, and can partially replace titanium dioxide, saving material costs for the production of coatings.
